Terms of Use
These Terms of Use govern your access to and use of Payment Method Builder. Please read them carefully before using the service.
1. Acceptance of Terms
By accessing or using Payment Method Builder ("the Service") you agree to be bound by these Terms of Use ("Terms"). If you do not agree to these Terms, please do not use the Service.
The Service is provided by Free Content ifPNG ("Free Content ifPNG", "we", "us", "our"). You can reach us at ….
2. Description of the Service
Payment Method Builder is a free, browser-based tool that allows users to select, configure, and export payment method icon sets for use in their own websites and applications. The Service generates exportable code (HTML, Tailwind CSS), images (PNG, SVG), and configuration data (JSON). All processing happens entirely within your browser — no data is transmitted to our servers.
3. Permitted Use
Subject to these Terms, you are granted a non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable licence to use the Service for lawful purposes. Permitted uses include:
- Personal and commercial web and application development projects.
- Generating payment method icon sets for inclusion in your own product interfaces.
- Exporting configurations for integration into design systems or component libraries.
- Educational and testing purposes.
4. Prohibited Use
You agree not to:
- Attempt to reverse engineer, decompile, or extract the source code of the Service beyond what is made available under its open-source licence (if applicable).
- Use the Service to generate materials intended to deceive consumers or impersonate a payment provider (e.g. creating fraudulent checkout pages).
- Automate access to the Service in a manner that places an unreasonable load on our infrastructure.
- Use the Service in any way that violates applicable law, including consumer protection and financial services regulations in your jurisdiction.
- Resell access to the Service as a standalone product without our written permission.
5. Payment Method Brand Assets — Important Notice
We do not own, license, or grant rights over these third-party brand assets. Your use of any exported logos, icons, or brand materials is governed entirely by the brand guidelines and trademark policies of the respective payment providers. You are responsible for ensuring your use complies with those guidelines.
As a general rule, most payment providers permit the display of their logo on merchant checkout pages to indicate accepted payment methods, provided you follow their specific brand guidelines. However:
- Do not modify, distort, or alter the logos in ways prohibited by the brand owner.
- Do not use logos to imply endorsement, sponsorship, or partnership unless you have an established relationship with the payment provider.
- Do not use logos in contexts unrelated to indicating accepted payment methods without specific written permission.
We are not liable for any infringement of intellectual property rights arising from your use of exported brand assets in violation of the respective owners' policies.
6. Intellectual Property of the Service
The code, design, user interface, documentation, and any original content of Payment Method Builder that are not third-party brand assets are the intellectual property of Free Content ifPNG or are made available under an open-source licence. No rights are granted to you in respect of that property other than as necessary to use the Service as described in these Terms.
The HTML, SVG, JSON, and image output generated by the Service is provided to you for free use in your own projects, subject to the third-party brand asset restrictions above.
7. No Warranty
The Service is provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis, without warranty of any kind, express or implied. To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, we disclaim all warranties including, but not limited to:
- Warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement.
- That the Service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or free of viruses or other harmful components.
- That the exported icons, code, or configurations will be suitable for your specific use case.
- That the payment method brand assets are up to date or compliant with the current guidelines of the respective brand owners.
8. Limitation of Liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, Free Content ifPNG shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, including but not limited to loss of profits, data, business, or goodwill, arising out of or in connection with your use of or inability to use the Service, whether based in contract, tort (including negligence), statute, or otherwise, even if we have been advised of the possibility of such damages.
In jurisdictions that do not allow the exclusion or limitation of incidental or consequential damages, our liability is limited to the greatest extent permitted by law. Since the Service is free of charge, our total aggregate liability shall not exceed €100 (one hundred euros).
9. Indemnification
You agree to indemnify, defend, and hold harmless Free Content ifPNG and its affiliates from and against any claims, liabilities, damages, losses, and expenses (including reasonable legal fees) arising out of or in connection with:
- Your violation of these Terms;
- Your infringement of any third-party intellectual property or trademark rights through the use of exported brand assets;
- Any content you produce using the Service that violates applicable law.
10. Links to Third-Party Sites
The Service may contain links to third-party websites or services. We have no control over, and assume no responsibility for, the content, privacy policies, or practices of any third-party sites. We encourage you to review the terms and privacy policies of any third-party sites you visit.
11. Availability and Modifications
We reserve the right to modify, suspend, or discontinue the Service (or any part thereof) at any time, with or without notice. We shall not be liable to you or any third party for any modification, suspension, or discontinuation of the Service.
We may update these Terms at any time. Material changes will be reflected in the "Last updated" date. Your continued use of the Service after any change constitutes your acceptance of the new Terms.
12. Governing Law and Jurisdiction
These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of Italy, without regard to its conflict of law provisions. Any disputes arising under these Terms shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the competent Italian courts, unless mandatory consumer protection law in your country of residence provides otherwise.
If you are a consumer in the EU, you also have the right to use the EU Online Dispute Resolution platform to resolve disputes.
